ASTRO SYSTEME AUSTRIA
ASA Astrographs:
Telescopes produced by ASA are developed for Astrophotography. Amateurs and Professionals worked out a concept that leave nothing to be desired.
Astrographs by ASA are absolutely High End devices. Designed for the photographic application with high res and large size arrays (CCD, CMOS). For our production we use only the prime components that are available at present.
All telescope tubes are manufactured of sandwich carbon fiber, and the external view by the high-grade sight carbon fiber workmanship. The tubes are covered inside with black velvet to avoid stray light. The use of carbon fiber makes the telescopes up to 60 % lighter and the focus remains long-term stable in temperature due to the insignificant extension coefficient.
The ASA Astrographs have a focal ration of f 3.8. Given the matching corrector the system can be shortened or be extended with a few movements.
Using the 3" Wynne Corrector (Standard with N-Serie Astrographs) one will achieve a focal ratio of f 3.6.With the 2" or the 3" Reducer a focal ratio of f 2.75 result while with the ASA Barlow Flat Corrector the focal ratio will be f 6.8.
ASA Direct Drive Mounts – one step ahead the future:
Our mission at ASA, over the past few years, has been to develop a new mount with similar tracking technology used by professional Observatories, and offer that mount at a fair price. We have achieved our objective with this new line of mounts! The accuracy of any manufactured part is generally limited by the mechanical characteristics. Even the finest astronomical mounts, relying on mechanics lone, cannot solve all the problems experienced during a common astronomical imaging session. Thus we have to look with one eye at the development status of the professional Observatories where mechanical limits are also shared by the best commercially available mounts. Borrowing a page from the professionals, we too seek to overcome those issues with well-engineered, electronic solutions that come with a very costly price tag.
However, here at ASA, we have managed to find ways to lower the cost of these incredible electronic solutions without compromising the performance quality. Therefore we present them to you within an affordable price range.
Our answer is to employ high resolution encoders mounted directly on the axes of the mount and use direct drive!
